Empire cast takeover dallas

Dallas really loves the new hit FOX show Empire. With just days notice local radio station 979 The Beat managed to team up with our local Fox affiliate to bring thousands of fans out to meet the now famous Lyons brothers Yaz, who plays Hakeem on the show, and Jussie Smollett, who plays Jamal Lyons! Thousands lined up outside the Hard Rock Cafe in Downtown Dallas hoping to get an autograph on there Empire Soundtrack CD (yes you can buy the music from the TV show), some hoped for a hug, picture or a simple hello! For me, walking up to hear Yazz say, "What's up Dallas" to me, was priceless!!
All I can say is that these guys are down to earth, genuine and cool people. Did I mention Jussie winked at me? Anyway,  lol I really liked the positive energy and the fact that they took their time with each person.  It was estimated 30 loyal listeners from the 979 Beat won VIP wristbands to meet the actor/singers first.
So how did they get so lucky?
listening to the radio and going to meet up with various promo staff and deejays at various locations handing them out. A total of 800 were expected to get a chance to meet the guys, again 10,000 were expected to show up with hopes of getting a one on one moment.  A moment this Empire fan will not forget! Shoutout 979TheBeat for the love & all access.
