![]() The annual heritage night at the Dallas Mavericks game was an awesome event! Each year hundreds of Black Greek sorority and fraternity members along with non-members fill the American Airlines Center in Downtown Dallas to attend the game and after-party. The annual event is held in honor of Black History Month. This year was especially awesome on the court and off, as the fans cheered the Dallas Mavericks on during an amazing comeback against the Portland Trailblazers. The Mavs pulling out a win 111-101 in overtime. ![]() In addition to the great game, fans were entertained with competitions throughout the game. Many members of the Greek organizations were selected to participated in the on court competitions to win prizes and also it was nice to see the various Greek letters on the jumbo-tron. One of the highlights of the night, was rocking out to Funk founder George Clinton during the half-time show. But that was only the beginning of the party, after the big game and concert, everyone filled the platinum premiere suites level to dance and mingle. DJ Steve Nice kept the crowd going, spinning on the mic and rocking the crowd while each Greek organization strutted through the crowd. If you missed the event than you can definitely make it out next year! Shout out to the 100 Black Men for sharing their suite with me, and for more pics and videos from the party, game and locker room exclusive video on players thoughts on Black History Month go to my Dallas Socialites YouTube page.
