Great time at the private interactive movie screening for the new movie, "The Gift". There were a lot of surprises during the screening, but the highlight of the movie was the Q&A with the star who played Gordo, Joel Edgerton, who also directed and wrote the movie. Read more about how they scared me and my review on this psychological thriller below: I was so freaked out when I read one of the tweets from the character #MyFriend Gordo!!! Gordo, or Gordon was the cryptic character throughout the film. At the time all I knew was there was a tweet saying he was my friend and he was watching me in the studio (referring to a picture I posted on Twitter from my days of anchoring the news at CW33 last year). I was also handed a red envelope with a gift from "Gordo" when I first arrived, I later learned the significance while watching the movie. The gift theme is continued throughout the film. Now, the highlight of the movie was the Q&A with the star who played Gordo, Joel Edgerton, who also directed the movie. It was an amazing opportunity to listen to the directors interpretation of the film. He discussed what was going through his mind when writing the screenplay and directing. Since the movie is not out yet, I don't want to give too much away so check back for my full review. Just know it is a great film, that has thrills and will make you feel for the characters.
