Thank you to my friend Derrick Thompson at the Irving Convention Center for the passes and villa access, #PartyWithAPurpose the money raised goes to helping kids and various charity's. Here's the top 3 things you need to know to have a good time~Here's what you need to know:
1. It is a golf event! So make sure you are aware of all the rules, like no yelling talking or loud cell phones while the golfers are playing at a hole.
2. Parking is a beast! Make sure you find a place to park your car you will have to take a shuttle to the venue. You cannot expect to park at the actual event, unless you're VIP or have access to a villa. Last year I tried to take an uber back to my house, it took nearly an hour because it was so packed it was hard for the drivers to pick up people.
So come up with a plan before you go, including where you can park, research local hotels especially those near at the DFW Airport or there's a huge lot you can park in off of 114 and then you can take a free shuttle to the venue.Click here for free parking shuttle information and if you have a Cadillac there is additional VIP free parking available here.
3. Yes it is a party!! Check out the Pavilion After Dark, this is what makes it so much fun! The pavilion is an area that is known as a party area with a DJ and a lot of golfers and spectators partying! You and your friends including ladies who come just to be super cute and have a good time get down on the dance floor.
Finally, people come from all over, so just be prepared for big crowds, vendors, eating areas, cool down areas, and they sell alcohol and food everywhere.
For those of you who have never been here wondering what to wear, you can wear your cutest golf outfit for the fellas and ladies who golf or most of the ladies I see wear their super cute Sundresses and hats. Make sure you bring shades, maybe even an umbrella if it's a sunny day or if we get another day of rain, check here for local weather...oh and bring a hat!
Purchase tickets here prices range $45 and up and will take place today through Sunday.
