Good music like her new song, titled "Dear John." The song is a tribute to Positive Black men and in the video you see a lot of African-American men who have made positive impacts on the community.
Check out the photo of me in my Hip hop attire getting read for the show, Naomi Scott from LP Entertainment and MC Lyte mixing records at Shark Bar in Plano.

And in case your wondering, I had to post an old pic of me and Lyte from Charleston, SC 2008!!!
The Legendary Mc Lyte has been extremely busy over the years doing philanthropic work with the Hip Hop Sister's Network.
I asked her what she thought about today's female rappers, and she said that she hasn't really been in contact with many of them, as Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azaela haven't really reached out to her for advice on the rap game.
But she believes there is hope for Hip hop, if consumers start buying more positive music.

I also ran into DJ Modave from BOOM 94.5 & DJ Spinderella from Salt-N-Pepa and Naomi Scott (also a blogger and TV host).
The new track “Dear John” f/ Common paying tribute to men and raising money for her charity #EducateOURMen, which is the signature scholarship initiative of MC Lyte's Hip Hop Sisters Foundation, which has presented two $100,000 university scholarships during the Soul Train Music Awards Red Carpet Pre-Show each year since the organization's founding.
