Dallas, Texas, May 19, 2015 – In her new book SHIFT: 20 women share stories of strength, courage, and succeeding against the odds, best selling author and senior producer of the Tom Joyner Morning Show Nikki Woods has put together an anthology that chronicles pivotal moments in the lives of a variety of entrepreneurs, philanthropists, executives and more.

“There are so many amazing women with amazing lives, but we rarely get a look at how their struggles often led to the strength. I think it’s helpful for other women to know how the very people they see as role models have dealt with illness, divorce, bankruptcy, low self esteem and other issues,” Woods says. “I think each story is relatable and uplifting and will encourage readers to look for ways to make a shift toward a more fulfilling life.”
