The Wade Smith Foundation’s “Reading with the Pros” Literacy Tour made a lot of kids happy this year!!! The group donated nearly a thousand books to the Wallace Elementary School. Photography by Jarvis Minton of www.mixedviewsproductions.com
The day began with reading to the kids, and then ended with a great night at Chase Bank Tower. There was plenty of food, drinks and fun. Participants were able to also watch a fashion show featuring Dallas Derrick Person Custom Clothiers designs.
(RWTP) promotes and supports childhood literacy and education through in-person celebrity book readings and classroom visits. As of September 2013, over 60 current/former NFL players and college athletes have joined Wade at over 16 RWTP reading events at almost 20 public libraries and elementary schools throughout Houston and Dallas, Texas since the program began in April 2012.
