Hollywood Movie Directors, Dallas District Attorney & More...All come out to Support Charity to "free" innocent men in prison.
The House of Renewed Hope, developed by Exoneree Christopher Scott, fights for social justice for wrongfully accused individuals in Texas. SO as someone who comes from a family who fought for Civil Rights, I knew this was one fundraiser I would suport. The event kicked off at 300Dallas Bowling Alley in Addison. I invited a few CW interns to come out and volunteer and rub elbows with the City leaders. We all had the opportunity to volunteer for the fundraiser and have a blast. It was an intimate event with a live band, and Dallas politicians. One of which I had the recent opportunity to interview- Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price. I introduced him to the interns and he was so full of inspiration. One thing he said really stuck with me which was 'Let your presence speak before you do.'
