Dallas Cowboys beat writer/columnist Clarence Hill, yours truly media personality Amanda Fitzpatrick, and CBS 11 Sports Reporter/ Anchor Guy Rawlings hosted an amazing free Memorial Day Weekend Kickoff Happy Hour. We collected hundreds of pairs of gently used, and brand new shoes to donate to Veterans. DJ Gumbo helped come up with the concept and kept the crowd going. Jarvis Minton was on hand to do photography for the event and created this wonderful promotional video. Kevin Colts also took great photos and supported. NFL and philanthropist Wade Smith had his assistant Abby bring a bag of new and gently used sneakers~!~
Thank you to everyone who participated and made the event a success!! Shoutout the staff inside the aloft Dallas Downtown Hotel 1033 Young, Dallas, for great service during our event! The SAN ANDREAS movie screening was a hit!! Hundreds lined up at the Northpark Mall Cinemas to be the first to see the movie free before it hit theatres. The Spa at The Crescent offers a super friendly staff. I mean the ladies and gentlemen there are so nice that you want to take them home and make them a part of your family! Chefs prepared delicious flowing appetizers, there were professional hand massages, comp valet, open bar, artwork by famed photographer Art (I interviewed him at the end) super cool! So glad I could get this invitation and bring some of my closest friends and supporters!
