Dallas to Host Its First Ever Diner en Blanc This Fall
The Waiting List for the international sensation is now open for registration.
Dallas, Texas – June 17, 2015 – Diner en Blanc, the popular Parisian-style pop-up picnic characterized by its famous all-white dress code will take place in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for the first time ever in early autumn 2015. Diner en Blanc began in Paris in 1988 when François Pasquier had the idea to gather friends for a picnic in a public space, asking them to dress in all white to easily recognize one another. Twenty-seven years later, over 10,000 Parisians participate each year. In 2009, the first ever export of Le Diner en Blanc took place in Montreal, Canada. The first American edition of Diner en Blanc took place in 2011 in New york City. In 2012, Diner en Blanc International was created to bring the Parisian secret to more cities around the world. Diner en Blanc is now being held in fifty cities in over twenty countries with 100,000 annual guests.
Now for the first time ever, Dallas will host its own Diner en Blanc, thanks to local hosts Rachael Kissel, Marti Fox, and Karen Raehpour. “Diner en Blanc captures the spirit of friendship, glamour, and European elegance,” states Kissel. “We love the history and anticipation of the Diner en Blanc events around the world.
