Hosting charity mixer at Cajun Restaurant

Had a blast hosting the "Ol Skool 2 New Skool" charity mixer at The Pelican house for HiGO media, in Duncanville!  Guest arrived to a warm welcome by owner Louis who made sure to personally greet everyone with a smile, saying "Welcome to Pelican house"  in a very distinct New Orleans accent.

Once inside, the restaurant felt warm, inviting and definitely reminded me of New Orleans.  Jazz music played in the background as guest networked and learned more about the Old School 2 New School non-profit organization founded by Cowboy Kirk. 

The food was also delicious, there was a free sampling of their Jambalaya and we ordered some of the hot dishes from their Cajun menu including catfish, crab cakes and beignets which were to die for!!

Definitely a place to check out if you are in the area, the Pelican house is located at 107 S. Cedar Ridge Drive,  Duncanville, TX
